Uh-Oh

Aside from an occasional and somewhat randomly placed "mama" and "dada", and a fleeting "duck", Calvin isn't too verbal yet. He jabbers a lot, but hasn't said anything familiar ... until now.

Returning from Universal Studios during our Florida trip, Calvin overheard our friend say, "uh-oh", and replied with a melodic echo. We were all amazed, and I think he, too, was pleased to hear his successful mimic because he kept at it, repeating again and again ... uh-oh ... uh-oh ... uh-oh .....

We heard it throughout the trip and each day he found more appropriate times to say it ... when he dropped his cup, for example. In fact, it seemed like he would sometimes create a situation calling for said exclamation ... at times the "dropped" cup's trajectory was a giveaway.
