He not only flew without crying or causing a scene, he made friends with the lucky guy sitting in our row. Turns out that Mike works at Universal Studios, and has a sixteen month old son, Caden, so he loves little boys. Mike also has guest passes for Universal, and he gave us four of them!
It was an easy decision to pay a visit on our first day of vacation. Universal is for big kids, with fast roller coasters, but the little kids enjoyed Popeye's boat and Dr. Seuss's Landing, with play lands and carousels all decked out in Dr. Seuss's fanciful style.
We were amazed at how well the kids did at the park. Cal snoozed in his stroller when he got tired and awoke ready for more fun. Tomorrow is an "off" day, lounging by the pool. Or whatever that looks like with kids.
Have I mentioned that we're here with playmates? Kyle and Tricia Olson and their two-year old daughter, Eva, have joined us in the "happiest place on Earth" -- yay!

So FUN!! What a wonderful start to your trip. Sounds like a lovely way for mommies and daddies to have some fun in a place that has enough for little ones to see and explore, too.
HI Cherith
I'm jealous:) It looks and sounds like you are having so much fun! Enjoy the rest of your week and just so you know it is still COLD here:)

Yippee for y'all! Calvin looks like he's such a big boy standing by that fire hydrant. Nice looking in those new clothes, too!
Calvin made a great choice in befriending Mike, huh?
glad to hear about the great start to your trip - hope that sets the tone for the whole week! only half-way through!
What an awesome gift! You guys must live right! ;-)
