We all enjoyed the company of family and delicious food (including Grandma's fresh whipped cream), of course, but the highlight for Calvin was a trip to the mall!
Not to take advantage of the Black Friday sales, mind you, but to pay a visit to a carosel in the food court. Ah, the simple pleasures of childhood.
Calvin climbed up with Dad and Grandma and found a comfy place to enjoy the ride. Round and round they went. But one ride wasn't enough. I think they rode six times in all, trying a different animal each time. Horses, dolphins, polar bears ... this carosel had them all.When dinnertime rolled around we managed to convince Calvin to get down, but it wasn't an easy sell. He had a notarized promise to return before heading for the car.
